to the Corvallis Glass Fusion web site!
We're a bunch of people with a love of creating all sorts of arts and crafts using fused glass. We've been meeting as part of the OSU Craft Center for years. Some of us are new to the craft. Some of us have art careers in other media. Most of us make our living with other work - teachers, nurses, business owners, real estate agents, attorneys, engineers, software professionals,dentists, and the like.
In the evening we are "glass artists," a dedicated group that experiments, creates, and supports each other with our interests in glass fusing.
Glass fusing is the technique of taking colored glass, creating designs by cutting, layering, or other methods, putting it all in a kiln, letting it cool, and then enjoying the results. Or not!
As with any process, there are many situations in which a fuse can go wrong. As a group we do lots of experiments. Some of our individual experiments are jotted down in our individual blogs, so you too can learn from our experiences. And if you register, you can leave comments about the art or post. Registration only requires that you provide your email (never used except for this site) and create a password. But you don't need to register to view the site, so please enjoy it.
We have successes too! Click on an artist's name in the right column to view the work from each person. This is not a selling site but if an artist has his or her work for sale contact information is provided.
